Abstract

Keusahawanan Digital (KD) ialah subjek yang diajar serta diberi penekanan dalam institusi pendidikan di bawah MARA seperti Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM), MARA Japan Industrial Institute (MJII) dan Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM), bagi memotivasikan pelajar peringkat diploma untuk menceburi bidang keusahawanan. Dalam usaha menilai keberkesanan pembelajaran subjek KD, kompetensi keusahawanan personal (KKP) digunakan sebagai indikator untuk menentukan sama ada pembelajaran ini berupaya membentuk keperibadian serta ciri-ciri keusahawanan dalam kalangan pelajar TVET MARA. Kajian ini menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur pemboleh ubah kajian dengan 70 item soalan. Seramai 124 orang pelajar peringkat diploma dari KKTM, MJII dan IKM dipilih sebagai responden melalui pensampelan mudah secara sukarela. Analisis kompetensi keusahawanan personal dijalankan menggunakan perisian Microsoft Excel berpandukan pendekatan yang dibangunkan oleh Butt dan Thechatakerng (2015). Hasil analisis menunjukkan majoriti pelajar mencatat skor di bawah 15, iaitu tahap kompetensi keusahawanan personal yang lemah secara keseluruhannya. Kompetensi yang rendah ini berpotensi menyebabkan pelajar kurang berminat dalam bidang keusahawanan. Selain itu, aktiviti pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam subjek Keusahawanan Digital yang tidak menerapkan elemen KKP turut menjadi punca kurangnya minat pelajar terhadap bidang ini. Justeru, implikasi daripada dapatan ini mencadangkan kolaborasi antara institusi dengan usahawan sebenar melalui konsep dropship atau affiliate, penambahbaikan modul pembelajaran agar lebih interaktif, dan pendedahan pelajar kepada ekspo atau aktiviti perniagaan di luar institusi pendidikan.

ABSTRACT

Digital Entrepreneurship (KD) is a subject taught and emphasized in educational institutions under MARA such as Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA (KKTM), MARA Japan Industrial Institute (MJII), and Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM), aimed at motivating diploma-level students to venture into entrepreneurship. In assessing the effectiveness of learning in the KD subject, personal entrepreneurial competencies (KKP) are used as an indicator to determine whether the learning process is capable of shaping personality traits and entrepreneurial characteristics among MARA TVET students. This study employed a questionnaire as the instrument to measure the study variables, comprising 70 question items. A total of 124 diploma-level students from KKTM, MJII, and IKM were selected as respondents through convenience sampling conducted voluntarily. The analysis of personal entrepreneurial competencies was carried out using Microsoft Excel, based on the approach developed by Butt and Thechatakerng (2015). The results showed that the majority of students scored below 15, indicating a generally low level of personal entrepreneurial competence. Such a low level of competency may lead to a lack of interest among students in the field of entrepreneurship. Additionally, teaching and learning activities in the Digital Entrepreneurship subject that do not incorporate elements of KKP are also found to contribute to students’ lack of interest in this field. Therefore, the implications of these findings suggest several recommendations, including collaboration between institutions and real entrepreneurs through concepts such as dropshipping or affiliate marketing, enhancement of learning modules to be more interactive, and exposure of students to business expos or entrepreneurial activities outside the educational institutions.
